I am new to Jira. I am a Project Manager/SCRUM Master. I created a Project (Next-gen template) and created User Stories. If I click on my project, I get to Kanban Board and I am able to manage issues(user stories) there. Added team members. I want to start Sprints with 2 week time boxes. I should be able to add some of the User Stories to say Sprint1 and start it. But I don't see any option in my company provided JIRA cloud version. I searched for 'Backlog', can't get any results. Your help is appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Hi!

If you start with a new project, then backlog is not enabled, you have to turn it on.
For that choose Projects from the navigator bar and find the relevant project.
Then on the left choose Project settings -> Features.
The second one should be backlog and you can enable it.

Thank you for the response, I figured that I created the project using Kanban Board template instead of SCRUM template. Either I live with it and progress the project using Kanban Board (like a waterfall), but better tracking or recreate the project using SCRUM template and follow your guidance. Thank you once again.
