Unable to find Resolution Field.

Hari Sridharala February 5, 2020

Hi Team,

I am unable to find Resolution field when Jira Labs option is set to On. The same field is visible when Labs options is Off.

Any help here is greatly appreciated.Jira Old View.jpgJira Labs View 1.jpgJira Issue View.jpg

Hi @Hari Sridharala

In the new issue view, Resolution field is moved next to the Status field. It'll be visible only when the Resolution value is set.

In your example from old issue view, it's showing as Unresolved which is the default value when there is no resolution value is set on the ticket.

You may refer to below feature request.

Ability to set the resolution in the new issue full-view

Hi @Veera

I have actually set the Resolution field as mandatory when developer fixes any bug. He/She has to select the resolution field before assigning it to test team. Now when developer clicks on the Start Testing he is getting an error "Transaction Failed - Please select Resolution" however Resolution field is not visible for Developer to select a value.

@Hari Sridharala

You need to create a screen and add Resolution field to it. Then, attach that screen to _Start Testing_ transition in the workflow so that it'll show a window with Resolution field to the Developer during the transition.

Check the below KB article.
