I have created multiple test cases, a test cycle, and a test plan and then linked the issues to the three testing items in the usual way.  I am expecting that once I link the test cycle (that includes a linked test case) to the test plan, that the test plan will appear in the field that my arrow is pointing to, called "Test Plan".  Please excuse missing data from my pic, I have removed the results appearing in the grid for security purposes.  Has anybody successfully populated this field and if so, what combination of links to issues has to occur?

Hi @pkganow

It seems to me that the Test Plan and Test Cycle fields are free text and are not actually linked to Zephyr Scale Test Cycles and Test Plans - I came to this conclusion by adding those fields into my Issue View/Edit screen where I was able edit those fields.  Furthermore, when I manually added a Test Cycle or Test Plan into a Jira Issue (inside the Zephyr Scale menu within an Issue), the fields still do not link to the selected Test Cycle or Test Plan.  This is really at odds with what I think you and I would expect and my advice is to contact SmartBear support for an explanation: SmartBear Support

You might also find the SmartBear community forum useful in the future (I am one of the community leaders): SmartBear Community.

If you do contact SmartBear support, I'd be very interested to hear what they say.

Regards, Andy

Hi @pkganow

Welcome to the community!

Are you using a specific test management plugin?
