I have the Project Lead profile in my Jira Project and I added a number of Previously-Created fields to the Issue type Story in Project Settings. But they are still not visible when I try to create a Story.

Possible that your fields are placed in the HIDE WHEN EMPTY section or you can check on the SHOW FIELDS upon issue CREATion.

Hi @Kamal Munasinghe

seems like you have a team managed project type. If you have the ability to add custom fields to your project

if this the case , check the field position in the issue layout with help with that article

Hi Kamal,

It's possible that the fields have a context and you need to add your new project to it.  Here is an explanation: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/edit-a-custom-field-context/

Regards.
