I am using a JIRA installation, installed on a Virtual Machine provided by my employer on our training platform. This Virtual Machine has a Linux Emulator and I am having to install JIRA using command line commands... which is not working
Any idea what is going wrong?
Updating post based on your additional details:
Since I am not working on my computer directly but operating through a VM / Terminal Emulator, I am not sure if I can even check the ports...even if I did, I do not have CLI command to execute .... I already checked that I do not have curl on this VM / Terminal Emulator
No, I have not tried generating a trial licence key at my.atlassian.com...I will try that...thank you

I'm afraid "is not working" gives us nothing.
What is not working? What are you doing and what are the responses you are getting?

To be specific -- I am accessing JIRA as part of an internal training course, in which I have a Linux Emulator / VM through which I am supposed to run JIRA. The JIRA instance has been installed in this VM...I am able to see the JIRA file listed in the root directory with the ls command.....However, the link provided for launching the JIRA (this is given in the browser, of which the Emulator / VM is a part) ends up throwing an error -- it needs a license key, to generate this license key, the Atlassian site needs to be accessed and the error message is "unable to access Atlassian site, hence unable to generate product key"
