Hi,
Being jira-administrator, i am unable to view boards which are not Shared or Private. I am keep getting below error:
"The requested cannot be viewed because either does not exist or you dont have permission."
Is there is way i can change the ownership of the board or make my self as one of the administrator of the board?
Board permissions may be restricting you from viewing it - but you as JIRA ADMIN can make changes to that permission just for yourself.
Add the group JIRA-Administrators to one of the role ( administrator role preferably) in that project so that all JIRA Admins can see it.
Or add your individual ID as a member to one of the roles in that project
By default jira-administrator group is added to the role (administrator ) in every projects. i also checked the browse & Create permission scheme, both are allowed for project role (administrator). Is there a way i can see/update the permission from database?

I don't think you need to tread that path.
Under permission scheme for this project- are JIRA Administrators allowed to administer the Project ?
