I have an incoming mail handler configured in JIRA that creates JIRA issues for mails received by the mailbox.
Sometimes we get tickets created with reporter as external user but at the end of description displaying "Created via e-mail but could not establish the sender's address".
How could JIRA not display the e-mail address of the sender? If yes what could be the reason for displaying "cannot establish sender's address"
Typically this happens when a message is missing From/Sender headers.
What is the reporter for this issue created ? I assume you have the "Default Reporter" configured in mail handler ?
