Update a Jira custom field name and flow through to eazyBI

Hi team,

I'm trying to update a custom field name and check this in eazyBI but it doesn't seem to work with direct name update. It is just creating a new team in eazyBI.

I want to change a team name in Jira and view the change in eazyBI without impacting the previous history to the old one.

eazyBI does not detect a custom field name change by default. For example, if you have a custom field Team and you renamed it Squad. eazyBI might import a new field Squad and along with a previous field Team. We suggest using double import in eazyBI when there are larger changes in the field setup.

1. Please deselect the custom field from import options (any selection), save import options, and run an import. This import should delete any data structures for this custom field. 

2. Please select the custom field back for import. Save import options and run an import. This import should create new data structures for your custom field.

If you are updating the custom field options. For example, you have a custom field Team with options Alpha, Beta, Gamma and you would like to rename them to Squad Alpha, Squad Beta, Squad Gamma those changes impacts data only. eazyBI will import those new values for new and updated issues with incremental imports. You would like to run a full data re-import to apply those changes for all imported issues.

Please note. Jira does not update change history entries of issues for any of described changes. We import historical data based on change history entries. Therefore you might not be able to get the full out of eazyBI when analyzing historical data for such changes.
