Hi there
We are needing to update fields for child tasks from the parent view.
Currently it looks like we can change the "summary", "status", "priority", "Assignee" fields from the parent view but no other fields that we may want to adjust from that this view.
Is the functionality limited to just being able to change those fields?
In the screenshot below, I am able to change the first 4 columns in-situ, but not able to change the Due Date, or any other field I choose to display here.
Hello @Christina Tomter
If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your Jira data that allows viewing, inline-editing, copy-pasting, sorting, and filtering by all your work items' fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel, Google Sheets, Smartsheet, or Airtable.
You can also see your work items hierarchically and edit all the fields directly in the table. No need to switch between pages.
Best,
Martin

Hi there Sam,
I am aware of that toggle and I added the columns that we need to see in this view.
My issue is I cannot edit the fields from this parent view. I can edit "Summary", "Priority", "Status", and "Assignee", but not any of the additional column data that I am choosing to show there. In your screenshot, are you able to adjust the story points field from that view?

I believe that only system fields are currently supported. I have raised this concern in the following issue for further review: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70206.
Best regards
Sam
