Is it possible to have "Update date field" on client desk?
Clients can not see "Update date" - we (from managers side) can see it.

Could you please share a relevant screenshot to this issue? Are you referring JSD?

If you're talking about adding the field to the Customer Portal view - simply go to your portal, click Requests at the top, choose Requests raised by me, then once the list has opened - click customised at the side and choose Updated date.
