Update issue field post-function don't work for ALL users

Arbak Martirosyan May 4, 2018

Hi,

I've added status transition post function, so that every issue moved to QA status will be automatically assigned to a specific user.

It works for me both while dragging and dropping on the sprint board, and when changing the status from the issue screen. However, for other users automatic re-assign doesn't work.

What may cause the problem? Screen Shot 2018-05-04 at 4.06.04 PM.png

Hi,

Is the re-assign assigning to a "static" person or is it the person transitioning? If so, they might also need the Assignable User permission. Are there any logs thrown during transition? Could they try to assign it to the expected assignee manually and see if it works?

Cheers

Hi,

It's static to certain user only.

Also he has assignable user permission, however there's an error in Project Role - not sure if it's relevant.

Hi,

I'd go with trying to add the user to the suggested Role and checked if behaviour is different. Let us know!

Cheers

Hi Micky,

I've checked and I have exact same permissions as this user. So that's probably not the cause.

Hi

I think your other users dont have permission Assign Issues, check that in:

Project settings - Permissions

I checked. Any logged in user has permission to assign issues.
