Updating Greenhopper from 6.1.5 to 6.2.1...do i need to take a backup of my project and scrum board?

Hi,

I have JIRA 5.2.7 and planning to upgrade to 6.0...for that I first need to upgrade GreenHopper from 6.1.5 to 6.2.x as the earlier versions are not supported byJIRA 6.0. Since team is using Scrum Project and Board actively I had concerns regarding GreenHopper Plugin update...Also I couldn't find any documentation regarding this....if there is any pls suggest...

There should be no problems. Upgrade 6.1.5 to 6.2.1 then move everything to 6.0 + 6.2.1.

Sorry to be over cautious but I intend to upgrade JIRA a bit late...just planning to update GreenHopper as of now...so no backup is needed if I update GreenHopper(from Manage Plugins)?...and it will update in background without affecting live usage by users?
