I am updating my JIRA to newest version. I do have backups but as I have used before I tend to use the simple update scheme which has never failed me before.

The update went well and now the JIRA server is starting up, but below and hold it dos NOT seem to recognize my database setup or my license from Atlassian and wants me to create a new one and also it seems set up al the database stuff ALL OVER. Why is this?

An update is supposed to recognize exisiting installation which includes a database setup. I cannot recall this going wrong before but now????

Kind regards

Roy

Jira redirects you to the setup database page only when it fails to read the existing dbconfig.xml file in the Jira Home directory. That said, this would be the first thing to check. Also, check if Jira Home is specified to the existing home directory.
