Updating an issue that contains a linked issue, so it updates the linked issue.

You can either do this with Jira Automation or use a third party app like exalate.

@Tom Lacey-Johnson Alex is right. If you'd like to try a 3rd party tool, check out the marketplace. I'm sure you'll be able to find something worth trying. I'd like to propose taking a look at ZigiOps. It can help you sync your issues so that updates appear on both sides.
