Updating workflow template "we couldn't save your changes" error

I want to update the workflow from the Email Campaign marketing template. Every time I try to save I get the error "We couldn't save your changes." 

No rules or transitions - its a very straight-forward workflow. 

But even if I try to add transitions I get the same error.

Hi @Ariana_Biagi I am facing the exact same issue with a very simple workflow. Could this be a Jira bug? I have tried closing the sprint so that there were no active tickets - same error "we couldn't save your changes"

if there are no rules on transitions, please try to do the same using another browser and let us know.

I just tried using Safari and the exact same thing happened
