Upgrade path for JIRA

Hi All,

Can anybody suggest the Upgrade path for JIRA 4.4 to 5.1.6.

Create a new application server at 5.1.6 then point it at your 4.4 database.

Is that ok with this process as there is a major release of JIRA 5.0.?

You can directly upgrade, as suggested by Nic (by pointing to DB) or by using the upgrade option in the installer. I normally recommend the upgrade option (gives all modified details, copies memory config etc). Skipping v5.0 is just fine.
