Hello,

What is the procedure to move the data of an old JIRA (4.4.5) to an newly installed 7.5 JIRA? (on a new server)

The online manual states I need to perform 2 incremental updates (4.4.5 -> 6.4 -> 7.5).
How can I do that? Do I need to install 6.4 versions temporarily?

I would very strongly recommend 6.4 > 7.0, not 7.5 - there are known issues jumping from 6.4 to 7.1 or above

Correct, an evaluation / non-production license can be used for that version.
