Upgrading from 8.7 to 8.22

What is the best approach to upgrade 8.7 to 8.22, me and my team are new to JIRA and have not done any upgrades yet.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Testing and preparing for the upgrade is the best strategy you can take now.

I would recommend starting from the following document that will guide you through each of those steps: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrading-jira-applications-938846936.html 

At the beginning, it will be a lot of reading and testing and it will make you comfortable on running the upgrade on production.

Thanks Thiago, that is what we are doing, we created a testing environment (we have it running on a VM so it was easy) and now we are doing the upgrade on the testing environment.

We did a LOT of reading :)
