Use an existing database

I removed Jira, and installed all again. But I have an Postgre database, how can I use this database?

Hi Joah,

you can edit dbconfig.xml file into you JIRA_HOME_FOLDER in order to link an existing database. Btw, if your JIRA_HOME_FOLDER doesn't contain attachment/installed plugins as stored into you database you could have many inconsistences.

Hi João, you can point your JIRA to a different database using JIRA Configuration Tool.
