Hi,
Here is my scenario: I have a single project for which I would like one set of users to get some info, and a different set of users to get different info in their email notifications.
I could augment the project's notification scheme to setup different user groups. A couple of questions:
1. For a given event, can I send a different notification to different sets of users?
2. Is it possible to customize the email template used to send the notifications for this purpose.
Thanks!
Hi Alok,
You can create a notification scheme for this specific project and add the users that you want to receive the notification for issue created, issue updated and all other types of notifications available on Project settings > Notifications.
These notifications are system notifications, so it's not possible to customize and only internal users will receive.
Note that, if you are using Jira Service Desk, there are the Customer notifications, so the reporter and participant are always set as customers and they will receive the notifications from Project settings > Customer notifications. These notifications are possible to customize.
A workaround is to use the add-on "Email this issue" that you can customize determine who will receive the notification since you can add the emails on "From", which is different from Jira that always get all users or customers of the ticket to send the notification.

Angélica
