Hello,

1. Is it possible to anonymize multiple projects/users (e.g. inactive Users, all projects of certain category) using a query to select them? It would be too much work to enter them one by one.

2. Is it possible to anonymize issues regardless of the project (e.g. issues resolved >100 days ago)

3. Is there a rest-api for this app?

Hi @Oliver

We noticed that several users have been requesting a "Bulk User Anonymizer" feature. I’m excited to share that our app, UDC (User Data Cleanup for Jira), includes this functionality and can help you easily anonymize multiple users at once.

Key features of this app include:

  • Highly customizable and modular: Configure multiple cleanup rules that can be applied to a single or bulk of users. Maximize control over user-specific data cleansing.

  • Two-Stage Cleanup: Leaving Day & Permanent: Apply a two-stage cleanup process: deactivate, remove, or transfer specific user data on the leaving day, retain necessary information for traceability, and execute a permanent cleanup.

  • Preview & Retrospect: Cleanup Control: Before performing cleanup actions for single or multiple users, use the Preview to check all planned actions. Use the Retrospect to check previously cleaned data for specific users.

We believe UDC can save you time and effort, and we’d love for you to give it a try. You can find more details and download our app here.

Hi Oliver, if your question is still relevant I just wanted to clarify how the "GDPR (DSGVO) and Security" App for Jira is supporting REST-API:

  • We support REST API in GDPR for Jira and Confluence (Server and Data Center). REST API is not available in our Cloud version of the app. REST API in Server and DC versions could be used for automatic creation of recurrent tasks, automatic execution of search templates, automatic exporting of found results to any external system, etc.
  • In Cloud version we support reactions to "platform webhooks" and can start some template by ticket created/updated event. We also have an action which can send webhook call from our app. Currently we doesn't support webhooks in Server / DC version, not as trigger, not as "action".

Thx

Hello @Oliver

I think our GDPR app is the solution of your problem!
It has the Data Cleaner function which helps you find any personal data you store and process (emails, phone numbers, SSN, credit card numbers Visa, Mastercard etc.) at a click of a button.

Look at our app on the marketplace for more information: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218962/gdpr-dsgvo-and-security-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview

Hello @Oliver,

thank you for your questions.

  1. It is possible to anonymize multiple projects/tickets by using a JQL query.
  2. As it is possible to use a JQL query for issue selection you can do this as well.
  3. A REST-API is currently not available. But depending on the use case there may be other options, e.g. scheduled tasks

For more information please check out our documentation.

If you have further questions or support requests you can also contact our support directly.

Thank you for your interest in our app!

Kind regards,

Franz
