User cannot be found in user picker after switching external user directory

Hi,

In the User Directories, Directory A was enabled and listed first (above the Jira Internal Directory):

  1. Directory A (enabled)
  2. Jira Internal Directory (enabled)

Then I created Directory B, moved it to the first position, it was enabled.

Next, I disabled Directory A and placed it under the Jira Internal Directory, so:

  1. Directory B (enabled)
  2. Jira Internal Directory (enabled)
  3. Directory A (disabled)

The user is part of both Directory A and Directory B with the same username.

After the switch from Directory A to Directory B, the user can be found in Users but cannot be selected in a User Picker field (Reporter, Assignee, Default Project Role Project Lead, ScriptRunner user switchers, JQL query, ...).

After the user logs on to Jira Software, he can be found all of a sudden.

What can be the cause of the issue here?

The user has the Assignable User permission.

This may be caused by the Directory B not having synchronised with the internal Jira 'crowd' user tables.

Have you got a synchronisation time set on the LDAP setup up? It usually set to hourly.

Can you trigger a manual synchronisation? The will be a synchronise option on the directory list entry.

Hi @Tom Lister , yes, I've synchronised manually.
