Hi,
I just got a notification that after removing a ticket in jira cloud, which was created through JSM, that the reporter doesn't get a notification that the ticket has been removed.
I checked, and the notification scheme which is being used, is used by all the projects.
This is the standard notification scheme which is being used, and the issue deleted setting:
An issue has been deleted (System)
Unless these settings, the reporter does not receive any notifications, that the ticket has been deleted. Just tested it by myself, creating a ticket and deleting it, but didn't receive any email notification.
Does anybody has any idea why or is there anything I can track all the sent e-mails from jira?
Are you testing this exclusively with your account?
There is a setting to check - in your profile, there is a flag that says "do not email me on my own changes" which defaults to on. That would be suppressing your test email. Turn it off and re-test.
But it should still notify everyone else.
Hi, unfortunately I can't find this flag...
could you send a screenshot where to find / edit this setting?

Click on your profile icon, select "personal settings" from the menu, and you'll find your email preferences in the middle. Look for "You make changes to the issue"

I tested it by myself, now I'm getting updates all over :-) from every change I made.
So it looks that I need another setting change.. hmmm

if you are not receiving the notifications it means that you are not part of that ticket either Assignee/Reporter will get a notification if any changes happened in the ticket / if ticket is deleted

hi, thanks for the answer... and yes, I agree, but one user is reporter and the other is assignee, and non of them get a notification.
Just tested it by myself... created a ticket, assigned myself as assignee (so reporter + assignee) and deleted the ticket. Result: no email... despite of the configured settings.
So i think there is something wrong in the settings.

You need to check the notification schema in the project itself and configure then only assignee/ reporter will get notification.

It's the same default notification scheme that is being used in all the other projects.
