Using API to Copy Board Settings?

Hello, I wanted to know if there was a way to completely duplicate project (including board settings) using API.

I know natively in Jira, you can copy project settings into a new project; however, the board settings don't also transfer over since you have to create a new board from scratch and reformat the status columns and modify the estimation setting.

My company wants to essentially automate the process of creating a new project using API so that all the project and board settings transfer over. Our biggest issue is we want the Estimation board setting to default to Original Time Estimate. We really need the Original Estimation and Time Tracking fields to populate in and they only show up when the Estimation is set to Original Time Estimate.

I know it's possible to create boards using the API, but is it also possible to set the defaults for board settings so we don't have to manually edit the board every time we open a new project?

Welcome to community!

Unfortunately there is no api call that you help you with the copying of the Board setting. It would need to perform manually. However you can try to copy the Filters of the boards .
