Hi,
I am trying to build an automation and it does not work out as expected.
In the automation I use the function to copy the last comment. This only seems to work once on an issues.
( Actually, use the function comment on issues with the smart value: {{issue.comments.last.body}})
For example, I have an issue with say 3 comments on it. I will ru the automation and the third comments is indeed by copied.
Manually I add another bunch of comments to the issue. Again I would like the last entered comment to be copied. This does not work.
In the audit log it says: No new comment was added since this issue has been commented on before.
This does not make sense to me. Could somebody make some sense out of this for me?
Would you please post images of your complete rule and of the audit log details showing the rule execution? Those will provide context so the community can offer suggestions. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Bill
I don't know why you're trying to retrieve only the last comment but if you're not against using a third-party, we developed an app called Copy & Sync that can help you with that.
For example, you are able to copy and synchronize issues with their comments (one or both ways). As I said, it's not just about copying but also synchronizing, so when a new comment is created, or an existing comment updated or deleted, related issues are always up to date.
I can help you with that if you want to tell me more about your specific need.
Let me know!
Regards
