Hey everyone,
I have a user who's looking to make sure that the "Comments" field isn't empty when transitioning to certain statuses like "Canceled", "Done", etc. I was able to find this under Issue Types > Edit Workflow > Create Rule etc. etc. However, out of all of the fields displayed, Comment isn't an option. It's an option for field validation in company-managed projects, but not team-managed. This means I also can't do transition restrictions based off of it.
Does anyone know any workarounds aside from completely migrating the project to company-managed?
Hi Matt,
You can try achieving it though automation. Use the below in the trigger
In action you can transition it back to the original status or send an email to a user. Hope this helps.
