Dear Atlassian friends,
Our team has 5 members and we currently plan in MS Excel. We do this on a weekly basis and plan based on estimated hours per user per day. So we try to even the workload for everyone as much as we can.
So basecly, you would see the users on the left, Mon / Fri on the top and then the estimated hours for that user in that specific week.
I know there are 100's of plug-ins / integrations in Jira that can help us with this. I would love to bring all these tasks from Excel to Jira but i just need to find the right plug-in for us.
Any suggestions on this?
Taking into consideration your requirements it seems like our ActivityTimeline add-on fits your request.
ActivityTimeline provides resource planning and availability on a timeline view. You can track tasks progress, workload, and availability for each employee taking into consideration the part-time, full time or holidays.
You can visualize your workflow on a timeline that helps to coordinate tasks. You'll be provided with planning modules with Personal and Team Timelines. The workload and availability indicator will give you a clear vision of the available capacity of each Jira resource. Vacation/day-off, bookings, and placeholders are also available in the add-on.
The additional modules provide numerous reports including timesheets reports and a personal work panel.
If this solution may interest you, we can provide a demo session for you if needed.
Best, Nataliya

welcome to the community!
My team is working on an app called JXL for Jira, which for many of our users made the transition from Google Sheets/Excel into Jira very, very easy. JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows
your issues, just like you're familiar with from Excel.
This is an example of JXL in action:
(You can view any issue field, group by any issue field, have have different kinds of "sum ups".)
Regarding your specific use case, I would image a grouping by assignee as shown above, so that you can "sum up" your estimates and see who has how much work assigned. The challenge may be around the "estimate per day", as this concept doesn't natively exist in Jira. Depending on your exact requirements, one could certainly "work around" this, e.g. through custom fields.
Hope this helps,
Best,
Hannes | https://jxl.app
