Hello,
I created this project: https://voodoo.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/BSO/boards/110/roadmap
I added the following fields to tasks/bugs/stories :
- Start date
- End date
However, it's impossible to visualize a date bar for tasks/bugs/stories within the roadmap as for the epics.
Could you please tell me how I can enable the date visualization?
Thanks
Hi, @Mathieu Canourgues. I'm afraid @Jacob Vu is correct. The Roadmaps feature in standard Jira will not do this for you. The Advanced Roadmaps feature in Jira Cloud Premium or Entrerprise will. Or, you can use a Marketplace app with the Jira you already have. BigPicture is one, but there are many more.
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/addons/app/jira/top-rated?category=Project%20management&hosting=cloud&query=Gantt
Note: One such product is my company’s product, Structure.Gantt (an optional add-on for Structure, the WBS, and more), but that search will show many others, too.
Hope this helps,
-dave
As @Dave Rosenlund _Trundl_ mentioned, you can find great apps on the Marketplace, which will facilitate project management activities apart from displaying Start & End Date.

If you're trying to create something like a Gantt chart or schedule, you'd need to use a tool like JIRA Advanced Roadmaps or BigPicture.
I don't think there's a way to visualize dates like in a Gantt chart using native JIRA software.

I am also facing the same issue.
It seems to me that something really fundamental is missing - or we are not setting up the feature correctly?
The due date for tasks/stories does not show up on the raodmap.
Without it, I'm not sure how useful the roadmap feature is.
I hope someone knows how to set this up, or Jira is working on the fix for this bug.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
