Was the ability to compare two date fields ever added to JIRA?

I see posts prior to 2017 asking about date compare functions.  Where they ever added to JQL?  Or, will this require a third party solution?

JQL does not let you compare two date fields, but ScriptRunner add-on does. dateCompare

Thank you, sir.  I felt this would be true, but wanted confirmation before diving into ScriptRunner.
