Watch issues and being notified when it reaches a specific status

Is it possible to watch a number of issues and being notified *only* when it reaches a specific status like "ready for test" or "done"?

or consider an addon e.g. Jira Workflow Toolbox and there are others to consider as well. You don't need the addon for this specific UC but you may find an addon offers other benefits toward your requirements

If you are only a watcher, just create an event for watchers and place it in that transition. Then, configure the notification scheme.
