Hi

Currently, we are using JIRA Software 6.4.13; Linux RedHat 6.4; Oracle Database 10g. However, we are planning to upgrade as part of EOL, to a New OS Linux RedHat_7.8 (x86_64) and to Oracle 18c.

I have been browsing online to get some help with the regards to EOL but I have been clicking links which is pointing me to a different link. And, I am still looking to get below questioned answered:

So, my question(s),

1. Is JIRA 6.4.13 compatible with Linux Redhat 7.8 and Oracle 18c? and, step-by-step documentation.

2.  If not compatible, what is the preferred upgrade path? and a step-by-step documentation would be really helpful.

Thanks

Narendar M

Hi @Narendar Mora

welcome to the Atlassian Community. Upgrading Jira is unfortunately not an easy task. I‘ll post some links to get you started:

1. short answer: No - at least for the database, see also https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira064/supported-platforms-720411857.html

2. Have you checked out Atlassian‘s migration guide already? I find it quite comprehensive: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrading-jira-applications-938846936.html

In addition to that, you can also ask an Atlassian solution partner in your area to help with the upgrade - they‘re specialized in that.

Cheers,

Matthias

PS: I‘m also working for a solution partner.
