We are using X-Ray for the test management functionality but don't want it to feed into the backlog

Using X-ray for test management, but we don't want the issues to feed into the backlog within Jira, is there a setting that will stop this?

welcome to the Atlassian Community.

X-Ray, as far as I know, is using special issue types for managing the test cases, preconditions and all the other objects. If you don't want to have these issues in your backlog, you could modify the filter query for your board so that these issuetypes are not part of it.
