We do not want Themes & Workstreams & Initiatives in the backlog view

We do not want Themes & Workstreams & Initiatives in the backlog view, but they are.

 

We are using the board view, and anything in the project for that board view will be included in the backlog.

 

Is the only way to remove these initiatives and theme issue types is to modify the Board Queries, 

 

and in turn I have to modify the sources for the Roadmap Plans

Seems like it, or did you find another solution?

Another Workaround would be creating a Quick filter to filter out the Themes & Workstreams & Initiatives.
