Me and a colleague are both working on a project, however one of us can add custom fields and edit screens etc, the other cant and we appear to have the same access...any idea what the issue could be?
To add custom fields, you need to be a Jira Administrator. This is a global permission, which is usually granted to a particular user group (by default "jira-administrators").
Depending on your Jira version, you may be able to edit screens to add/remove existing fields if you are an Administrator of that Jira project.
