What are the differences between "Auditor for Jira" and "Access log for Jira" plugins?

Currently, our server is configured with the "Auditor for Jira" plugin  from Enhancera for improved admin logging capabilities.  We have discovered that there is another plugin from the same vendor "Access Log for Jira" which does similar administrative logging.  I am wondering if anyone out there has experience with both and could share what the differences are between the two.  The marketplace information looks almost identical between the two.  Are there any features that one has which the other doesn't?

Hi @Joseph Moisan ,

looking at both apps, the information doesn't seem to be very similar.

Auditor for Jira is focusing on admin activity in the system, e.g.

  • I updated a permission scheme
  • I created a version in a project
  • I added a field to a screen

While Access Log for Jira provides a comprehensive overview of what content (issues, attachments) has been accessed by a user at a given time.

The scope is very different, don't you think? Or is the purpose of both apps still not totally clear to you? I'm happy to try explaining it in different words. :)

Best, Max

Thank you Max.  I get it now.  I read too quickly and with the screenshot images looking nearly identical, I did not give it the effort I should have.  Thank you for being kind when pointing out that I did not do my homework before asking.  A lot of forums would not be nearly as gentle.
