     I want to use Jira for trouble tickets and syncing w/ Slack - what module do I need?    I have The Basic Project/issue version of Jira right now...

Have you already had a look at the integration page of Jira + Slack?

There are some tips around for integrating Slack:

I also was able to find some documentation on Slack help center for further documentation. Due to unknown reasons I ab not able to insert the link to the help center, though.
