We are a growing company and like the flexibility of the Atlassian Cloud but want to know what would happen when you get to the 2000 user limit for a Cloud license. We use JIRA Software and Confluence mostly plus a smaller number of Service Desk users, Hipchat, Bitbucket etc and they are all critical to day to day operations. Hoping it won't stop but need to know any gotchas in case we need to rethink our growth strategy.
If you try to go over your licences, the systems effectively become read-only. But I don't think the user management system will let you go over!
Also, if you reach the 2000 user limit for a product (but don't go over it) then you will be blocked from giving more users permission to that product.

Hi @Centre4 Testing, just wanted to reach out with an update. You can now add up to 5,000 users to your Jira or Confluence Cloud site.
There is more information about the new limit in this Community article I wrote: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/New-5k-User-Limit-and-Other-Cloud-Updates/ba-p/892001
