What is Jira or Atlassian doing to support ScaledAgile Framework in their Tools Suite

Currently Jira is not featured up to support Scaled Agile. Is this on the road map any time soon. Also when will the parent child relationship introduced to the Capability, EPIC, Feature etc.

In my humble opinion, which is very personal, SAFe is not quite compatible with Scrum as it requires much more "side" objects and flows. Supporting SAFe would imply a lot of new features and a rework on many others which are already used by a vast majority. I'm not saying it won't be supported (and with a combination of Apps you can clearly achieve something good as of today), just trying to explain why the current Jira Software version is not flexible enough for SAFe. Also, SAFe is clearly too complex for many organizations and it's always better to have a simple software, which can be complexified by individual customers when needed than a complex garbage which is used at 20% by some customers (I won't name companies here but we all know some specialists of that kind of softwares (hi Big blue friend).

As per the parent/child relationship you can use Portfolio for that, it's adding a new Parent relationship with a similar view as Epics.

This is not trure! We have implemented SAFe Portfolio Configuration.  JIRA is amazing!  Yes, we had to do some work to set it up, but it only took a couple of weeks.  

A SAFe consultant from an large firm in Europe said he has NEVER seen any tool like our JIRA implementation that supports SAFe as well as ours.

We also implemented PI-Planning, which works perfectly with JIRA to support our PI Planning Events.
