Explain in detail what is hybrid methodology?
What is the purpose of hybrid methodology?
Before jump to the hybrid I had learned about Agile methodologies and Waterfall
Welcome to Atlassian community!
Atlassian community is not an agile focused community, however doing some searching I found some articles from Agile groups such as:
https://agilealliance.org/what-is-hybrid-agile-anyway/
https://www.pmi.org/learning/library/outcomes-hybrid-approach-waterfall-environment-5839
The first one does have their own community so if you have additional questions, as it's an agile community it will be filled with Agile experts explicitly.
There are definitely agile experts in this community as well, however there are also a lot of tooling experts as Atlassian community is built around the tools in agile. So hopefully there is engagement here but if not then the agile alliance is a great place

Hybrid methodology combines traditional approaches such as Waterfall with iterative approaches like Agile. In this methodology, the Waterfall model is used for planning, while Agile is used for implementation.
By using this approach, project management benefits from both flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements. It fosters structured planning for predictable elements and improves project visibility and control.
However, this methodology also comes with challenges, such as the complexity of managing multiple methodologies and potential conflicts between traditional and iterative mindsets.
