Hello

Any recommendations on the best way to integrate Codebeamer with Jira?

Any plugin?

3rd party connector?

Thanks ahead

Hi @Ifat Keren

It should be possible to integrate both tools using Stitch It, and Integration platform from the people behind ScriptRunner.

For Jira, you can make the most of the Managed Connections feature to create and allow Stitch It to maintain that connection for you. For Codebeamer, it is not a tool that Stitch It supports a fully managed connection for, however you should be able to connect to the tool using the Generic Connector, which is built to support connecting to tools Stitch It doesn't have full connectors to.

Once you have the tools connected, you can listen to events from either. Jira events are fully supported, and you can make use of the Generic events in Stitch It to configure Codebeamer to trigger Stitch It scripts.

In these scripts you can write code that accesses the REST API's of the tools to build out the custom logic that you would like to implement.

Does this help?

Kind regards,

Bobby

Hi Ifat Keren

If you are looking for a simple solution that does not require technical expertise, OpsHub provides an excellent option for seamless integration while preserving formatting and supporting various additional features. OpsHub Integration Manager (OIM) supports inline images, attachments, comments, and issue movement during synchronization, ensuring a smooth data transfer process.

Additionally, the OpsHub Integration Solution takes care of:

  • Field-level Conflict Management: OpsHub handles conflicts that may arise when data is updated simultaneously in Codebeamer and Jira, ensuring consistent data across both platforms.
  • Dynamic User Mapping: OIM dynamically maps users based on email ID or display name, eliminating the need for manual user mapping.
  • Data Granularity: OpsHub allows you to choose the level of data granularity required for integration, whether it's intermediate state or end state, depending on your use case.
  • Failure Management & Recovery: OpsHub integration tool has a robust failure recovery mechanism, queueing up failures for resolution even when an end system is temporarily unavailable.
  • Criteria-based Data Integration: With OIM, you can define specific criteria for data integration, synchronizing only the subset of data that meets your specified conditions, optimizing performance and data relevance.

The flexibility of OpsHub integration enables you to synchronize any data in Codebeamer with any issue type in Jira and vice versa, ensuring a seamless bidirectional integration experience. For more insights into how OIM facilitates this integration, browse through this page. Additionally, OpsHub offers support for a diverse array of tools. For your reference, you may take a look at this video.

Thanks,

Brad.

Hi @Ifat Keren

There's a few Marketplace Apps which mention Codebeamer - including...

You could also try looking for other integration options via the Marketplace.
