What is the use of labels?

One of the my friend is maintaining the entire process with a single account using lable for their team. What is the use full fledged use of labels?

Hi,

labels is built-in field used to categorize issues. They're cross project and issues can have multiple labels on them.

You can easily search for them using JQL as labels = typos

They're often popular for reporting purposes, especially when lots of custom fields are lacking in the instance. Big downside to them is that you can end up with lots of similar labels that are just typos.
