What reporting tool do I need to report on the status of test cases?

Currently I cannot report on the test cases executed in JIRA because I do not have a reporting tool. 

What reporting tool would you advice/suggest I consider and what are the prerequisites needed?

It depends on what test management app for Jira you're already using.
Each has its own reporting module.

The company I work for is the maker of TestFLO and RTM.
Here's how these two implement reportin:g:

• reports in TestFLO
• reports in RTM (browse the reports section for more)
