What's the best way to give management visibility into the GreenHopper charts?

Here are a few suggestions to providing visibility:

1. Add JIRA Wallboards to your office. Grab gadgets for burndown to show progress on a sprint, and add Team Calendars to show team leave and planned release dates. This is great for providing visibility to the entire company.
2. Create a Release Dashboard on a Confluence page so management has one place to look for all the latest information. This is a communication exercise, what is the release date?, what are the key features?, who is the audience?, and it is useful for painting the vision for the team as well. This is where you can put key metrics and charts tracking release progress.

you are not alone! :-)

a team using JIRA contacted us just recently. they had similar problems with their management not being able to digest agile metrics. they wanted to have a bare minimum Burn Bown Chart plus a Gantt Chart, which can be distributed in emails. (yep, Gantt is not a typical tool in agile visualization, but let's face it: managers still love it.)

so they take sprints, stories and subtasks from Greenhopper and render a Burn Down Chart and Gantt chart to a single PDF document using the JIRA PDF View Plugin.

there is both a Burn Down template a Gantt chart template available in the plugin that can be further customized and integrated with Greenhopper.
