Hello,
I would like to map SFDC opportunities (or worst case accounts) to Jira Epics?
I found this plugin but it gives me error when I click "get crm for Jira Cloud"
My ultimate goal is to create product backlog (e.g. Epics) and for each of those map opportunity revenue (upcoming revenue) to assist backlog prioritization.
Any thought, suggestions, more than welcome.
Hi @Julian Davchev ,
I hope you are doing well.
If you are open to install a 3rd Party integration tool which can help you sync opportunities to Jira Epics.
Exalate, provides a fully bi-directional synchronization between Salesforce and Jira (among other ITSM systems) that is fully customizable. It is easy to set up and Exalate uses a scripting engine which is based on Groovy scripts where you can control what data you want to share and even you can independently handle the incoming information. You can achieve complex use-cases with ease.
You can also check out this integration guide.
Please be informed that I am associated with Exalate, and I am working here as a Pre-Sales Engineer!
Regards, Dhiren
Mapping SFDC opportunities to Jira Epics can be useful for creating a streamlined workflow between your sales and development teams. However, the plugin you mentioned may not be working due to changes in the Jira Cloud and Salesforce APIs. Here are some alternative approaches you can consider:
Once you have mapped your opportunities to Epics, you can use the revenue data to prioritize your backlog. For example, you can sort your Epics by revenue and focus on the ones with the highest potential ROI. You can also use this data to estimate the value of each Epic and make more informed decisions about which features to prioritize.

@Julian Davchev hello. I see there are already a few suggestions for solving your use case (using a 3rd party). I'd simply want to add one more - ZigiOps. It's a no-code platform that can help you connect Jira and Salesforce instantly (bi-directionally) and sync them. It can be customized to fit various use cases - such as syncing SF opportunities to Jira Epics and keeping them up to date in real-time. Feel free to look at it and if you're open to knowing more, we can have a short meeting to showcase to you how ZigiOps works.

The above use case is achievable with the connector that Integrates Salesforce & Jira seamlessly. Try - Sinergify - A Salesforce and Jira Connector.
I hope it helps!
