Creating a ticket clone in automation. Text added before the {issue.summary} adds to clone ticket without issue. Text after is left off. JIRA.jpg

Hi @Jared Bessette-Kirton ,

Instead of {{issue.summary}} smart value, try using {{triggerIssue.summary}} as you're trying to fetch value from issue/item which has triggered the automation > see official docs on this smart value here.

By the way, from the screenshot, I'm not sure if you necessarily need a branch there. You could just use a condition and action(s).

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi @Jared Bessette-Kirton -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

What do you mean by "Text after is left off"?  Do you mean the " - B" after the {{issue.summary}} is not in the new, cloned issue?

Also, is what you are showing the entire rule, or are there more steps in it?

Kind regards,
Bill
