When the proforma is submitted, want the status as Backlog instead of "ToDo" status.
We have Enterprise Jira and when the jira form (Proforma) is submitted, it comes as "To Do". want this changed to "backlog".
Hi @Alagu Murugan Krishnan
In Jira Scrum projects, the Backlog is not a status — it's a section or view in your board that shows work items in specific statuses (like “To Do”) before they are added to the sprint. So even if the issue status is "To Do", it can still appear in the Backlog section.
If you've created a custom status called “Backlog” and want newly submitted form work items to enter that status directly:
Go to Project settings → Workflows.
Edit the workflow used by the issue type in your form.
Set "Backlog" as the initial status of the workflow.
Save and publish the workflow.
Ensure your form is creating that specific issue type.
Let me know if you require any further help.
Thanks,
Sanam
Thank you Sanam, but unfortunately I have read only access in Worflow. So, ideally if I move Backlog in place of "TO DO" this will be resolved correct.

Do you want this same action to be performed if one of the team created and issue via the create button too?
Thanks
Aaron.
