Hi @Shefali Tayade

This looks like a network limitation.

Are there any firewalls or other blocking issues on your network?

Were any changes made within your company network?

As a workaround, the users can use the Jira Cloud for Excel app or Jira Cloud for Sheets. It essentially accomplishes the same thing as the export function but through other means.

Another option would be to use the Export > Export Excel CSV option.

Best regards

Sam

Hi @Shefali Tayade,

welcome to the community!

Is this still happening?

Jira's Excel integration appears to be a bit brittle at times; if you search this community, you'll find posts about different kinds of (sometimes temporary, sometimes permanent) problems.

If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, there's a number of apps available that provide advanced exporting capabilities and work around the limitations of Jira's native functionality.

Depending on your exact use case, you may even want to consider whether you need to sync back and forth between Jira and Excel at all, or whether you could do all your work in one place, just Jira. I'll add more information below.

Best,

Hannes

... and to expand on my previous point:

If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on: JXL for Jira

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. JXL also comes with a long list of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.

This is how it looks in action:

This all happens directly in Jira, using your Jira data - so whatever you chose to do in JXL, your view is always live and fully synchronised.

Any questions just let me know!
