When will OnDemand and download builds match?

I was previously using OnDemand version and now want to migrate to the download version, but the backup generated from the backup manager is from build 769 of jira, while the current download build is 768.

When will this be resolved?

OnDemand and Downloadable versions of our products are released fairly simultaneously, although sometimes a new version is rolled out to OnDemand a few days before it is released for Download so this is most likely the case when you notice a difference between the versions available for Download and OnDemand.

So does this mean that the versions have to match exactly for one to be able to move from one environment to the other?

We are getting started with the OnDemand version just so we can get going faster but it looks like we may want to download it in the future so that we have more flexibility with plugins and updating the config files and such. Please fill in any blanks if I am missing major points in this line of thinking.
