Where is the documentation on editing screen schemes for project admins?

Rebecca M. April 5, 2018

We're upgrading to Jira 7.7 from 7.2 in a few weeks, and I'm putting together documentation for this upgrade.

One of the changes is the ability of project admins to edit screens, introduced in 7.4 (https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-7-4-x-release-notes-902079634.html).

I cannot find any additional documentation on this. Does anyone know where it is?

@Rebecca M. Project admins would follow tips for configuring a screen. Basically, a modified portion of this https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/defining-a-screen-938847288.html#Definingascreen-Configuringascreen'stabsandfields

They would be confined to only a screen in their project that lies within these parameters.

  • The screen must not be a default system screen.
  • The screen must not be shared with any other projects, or used as a transition screen in workflows.
  • The project admin can add, remove and rearrange system fields.
  • The project admin can add, remove and rearrange existing custom fields, but they cannot create custom fields.
