Was the Option to create a new Project with the Configuration of an existing Project removed?
Up until a few Weeks ago (not sure how long) there was the Option to create a new Project with a shared Configuration at the bottom of all the Template Project Schemes. But now that the Schemes are separated into Classic and Next-Gen, i can't find the shared configuration Option any more.
I always liked this Option since the Templates make a lot of Config Mess that needs to be cleaned up.
Can somebody tell me if it was removed on purpose?
Thanks
Best Wishes
Mike

No, the Option to create a new Project with the Configuration of an existing Project is available

When I click on Advanced, the Share settings with an existing project is not there.

@Tammy Starr Are you using Jira Cloud? What do you see when you click on Advanced?

@Tammy Starr Strange, first i thougth it might be because you are about to create a next gen Project (Kanban Board with Stars), but i get the shared Config Option even when i try to create a next gen.
Do you only have next Gen Projects on your instance? Maybe you don't have any Config to share, since the next Gen Projects have different kinds of Configuration with out Shemes.
Do you have at least one Project with a classic Configuration using Shemes?

I have created one Next Gen project and there are several classic projects that were created by someone else but I am the lead. I am not certain what you mean by instance. Do the projects need to be created by me? And, I am not sure how to know if the other person who created them used schemes.
I aplogize, but as I stated, I am new......

@Tammy Starr Hey, by instance i meant your Cloud Jira as a whole.
I have a Theory what might be your Problem. Do you have full Administration Rights in your Jira Cloud?
If not you might be able to create next Gen Projects, because your Admins allow it. If this is true you would not be able to create Classic Projects and therefore would not be able to create Projects with shared Configuration.
In this case it would just be a matter of Rights.
Don't worry, everybody starts at some point. :-)
